WELCOME!
When Are Services:
Worship Service is each Sunday at 10:30am. (Sept-June)
During summer months, service is at 9:30am.
After service, we offer a time for social gathering at Coffee Hour. This is a great opportunity to meet our members and catch up with friends.
From September - June, there are Christian Education classes for children and adults at 9:30am.
Where We Are located:
Street parking is available on either side of Ashford Avenue directly in front of the church and on side streets close to us, as indicated on the map below. Edward Dowdle Funeral Home located across the street on Mohican Park Drive also permits use of their parking lot for our services.
How is a Lutheran Church different?
We welcome all people who seek to know Christ and encourage exploration of faith through prayer, worship, education, and communion.
We are a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America
and part of the Metropolitan New York Synod. This means we are a church who follows Christ in accordance to the Scriptures and by the principles of the church we belong. Our communion table is open to all to receive, or you can approach the table to receive a blessing. Our communion table offers individual cups of both bread and wine or juice.
At the heart of our church community is care for others. We aim to follow God's command to love God and love one another. We set to do this through regular worship and regular commitment to our community and the organization which support the community. Our First Fruits program gives back the first of all donations received to community organizations.
Is there a Dress Code?
Jesus wore sandals and so can you. The most important thing is that you are here and will be welcomed here no matter what you wear. Whether you are most comfortable in jeans or a suit, we all pray and worship together. Some Sundays we will promote certain attire. For example, Super Bowl Sunday we encourage you wear your favorite team jersey;
Pentecost boasts the color red; and feel free to pull out an Easter bonnet (or don't - it's up to you).
